Amandayan
Amandayan — 'peaceful mountain' in the Naxi language — occupies a hillside above the UNESCO-listed old town of Lijiang, its 32 pavilions and suites arranged in the style of a traditional Naxi village. The architecture draws on the distinctive Naxi tradition: grey-tile roofs, carved wooden screens, and courtyard gardens. The Aman Spa incorporates local Tibetan and Naxi healing traditions. Amandayan is the base for exploring the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the Tiger Leaping Gorge, and the ancient tea-horse road that connected Yunnan to Tibet.
