Domaine des Étangs
Domaine des Étangs is a 2,500-acre medieval estate in the Charente, the heart of Cognac country, with a 13th-century château, a contemporary art collection, and five lakes. The 22 rooms and suites are spread across the château and a series of restored farm buildings, each designed by a different artist. The estate's restaurant, La Grange aux Oies, uses produce from the farm and forages from the estate. The Cognac tasting programme, conducted by the estate's sommelier, is the finest in France.
