Umaid Bhawan Palace

Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur is the most magnificent palace hotel in India — a 347-room Art Deco palace built between 1928 and 1943, still partly occupied by the Maharaja of Jodhpur. The 70 hotel rooms are decorated with original Art Deco furniture, hand-painted murals, and royal artefacts. The palace's museum, its indoor pool (the finest in Rajasthan), and its billiards room make it the most complete royal experience in India. The Pillars restaurant, with its garden terrace, is one of the finest in Rajasthan.
